Adversarial Risk Analysis as a Decomposition Method for Structured Expert Judgement Modelling
نویسندگان
چکیده
We argue that adversarial risk analysis may be incorporated into the structured expert judgement modelling toolkit for cases in which we need to forecast actions of competitors based on knowledge. This is relevant areas such as cybersecurity, security, defence and business competition. As a consequence, present approach facilitate elicitation probabilities over other intelligent agents by decomposing them multiple, but simpler, assessments later combined together using rationality model adversary produce final probabilistic forecast. then illustrate key concepts strategies this support its implementation.

Suicide risk : structured professional judgement †
Patient risk factors for suicide are well known to psychiatrists, yet the availability of clinically useful, routine and systematic methods for risk recognition are limited. This article outlines the structured professional judgement approach to suicide risk assessment and management. This method combines psychiatric assessment and formulation with the evidence base for suicide risk factors. St...
متن کاملA parameter estimation method for machine tool reliability analysis using expert judgement
This paper aims at providing a parameter estimation method for the machine tool reliability analysis to overcome the problem of unavailability of a well-defined failure data collection mechanism. It uses the knowledge and experience of maintenance personnel to obtain the parameters of lifetime distribution of the repairable as well as non-repairable components/ subassemblies. It is further deve...
متن کاملExpert Judgement and Expert Disagreement
As Hammond has argued, traditional explanations for disagreement among experts (incompetence, venality, and ideology) are inadequate. The character and fallibilities of the human judgement process itself lead to persistent disagreements even among competent, honest, and disinterested experts. Social Judgement Theory provides powerful methods for analysing such judgementally based disagreements ...
متن کاملExpert Judgement in Cost Estimating: Modelling the Reasoning Process
Expert Judgement (EJ) is used extensively during the generation of cost estimates. Cost estimators have to make numerous assumptions and judgements about what they think a new product will cost. However, the use of EJ is often frowned upon, not well accepted or understood by non-cost estimators within a concurrent engineering environment. Computerised cost models, in many ways, have reduced the...
متن کاملExpert Judgement Combination using
I enjoyed this paper, though disagreeing with its theory. For years I have tried to understand the Bayesian linear methodology; intrinsically some of the ideas seem so sensible. Ultimately, however, I have failed because for me judgements of uncertainty seem more primitive than judgements of prevision. The approach stemming from Savage (1972), DeGroot (1970) and others seems more natural to me ...
